Disney Experiences has huge plans for the future, from new Disney cruise lines to new rides and adventures at nearly all Walt Disney parks.

At Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23 2024, Disney officials had a lot of good news to share with us fans about what we can expect from the near future. The exciting thing is that all of these new announcements have set open dates and are already in the works. They’ve already done the dreaming, not they’re actually building.

From nearby our vacation rentals in Florida to across the US in California and beyond, there are a lot of exciting things coming for Disney fans around the world.

For us, we’re most excited about what’s coming to our backyard in Orlando. Here’s a first look at the newest updates from Walt Disney World and what you can mark on your calendars to plan the best time to visit.

Now that TRON and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are both up and running, Disney’s Magic Kingdom has started to look towards new projects to make the theme park even more enjoyable.

Country Bear Musical Jamboree

Coming Sept 2024

Visiting Disney World with your kiddos? They’ll love the reimagining that the Country Bear Musical Jamboree is getting. The Bear Band will play country-music covers of all of our favorite Disney songs across the decades.

The Country Bear Musical Jamboree is closed until the updates are ready to drum out.

Ka-Chow! Cars

Construction begins 2025

Also coming to Frontierland at Magic Kingdom are two new rides for fans of Cars. According to Disney Parks Blog, one attraction will take you on a rally race through the mountains, as you whip around curves, plunge into mud, and dodge obstacles. The second attraction is more family-friendly and will take you on smaller races.

Villains Land

Construction starts soon

Disney has never only been about the good guys. In each of their movies the villains have always played a pivotal role and it’s about time that our beloved Disney park gives them the credit they deserve. It’ll be a little bit spooky, a little bit scary, and perfect for those that want something a little bit…darker.

The space is expected to be big, with two major attractions, dining, and shopping.

Disney Starlight Parade

Coming in 2025

And to end the Magic Kingdom’s updates on a lighter note, a new nighttime parade is set to hit Main Street in 2025. Just like Main Street Electrical Parade, this one will also use the latest (and brightest) technology to tell stories about the characters we all know and love.

Animal Kingdom Updates

Although there aren’t any new attractions coming this year or next at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the future for this park looks really exciting.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether Show

Coming Winter 2024

Coming to the stage of Tree of Life Theatre this winter is a new Zootopia show. This show will be replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug. There’s not too much information out there about the exact premise of the show but if you can take any cues from the movie, we know it’ll soon become a family favorite.

Tropical America

Coming in 2027

A new 11-acre space is coming to Animal Kingdom and taking you right down to the tropics. This space will be home to both Indiana Jones and the Madrigal family from Encanto. The Indiana Jones attraction will be based around exploring a newly discovered, perfectly preserved Mayan temple. The other attraction is for the much loved Encanto movie. Here, Antonio will showcase his ability to communicate with animals and take you along to explore the rainforest with him.

Construction is set to begin soon with an opening date in the books for 2027.

Hollywood Studios Updates

The latest updates to wow Disney’s Hollywood Studios were Toy Story Land and Star Wars with the Mandalorian and Grogu. After such big successes there, it’s no surprise the Walt Disney Company has already concocted another land to join the park.

Monsters, Inc. Land

Construction begins in 2025

Looking for laughs? Pixar’s Mike and Sulley are your guys at Monsters, Inc. Land. Here you’ll be able to walk alongside our favorite, not so scary monsters, and take a spin around the Laugh Factory. The idea is that one of the rides will be a suspended roller coaster where you’ll ride around like the doors in the movie.

This new land should be a lot of fun for the entire family.

Epcot Updates

Who doesn’t love eating and drinking their way around the world at Epcot? Coming soon, you’ll also get to enjoy…

Test Track

Coming in 2025

Car lovers rejoice: Test Track 3.0 is coming soon! For those that haven’t yet experienced Test Track, this is a virtual simulation that takes you through the process of designing your own car and testing on the high-speed track.

The newly imagined Test Track is presented by Chevrolet and will open in 2025 with new cars and new tracks. Do note that the current Test Track is closed while they work on the updates.
