Planning a Disney trip with the family? Maybe you invited another friend with kids as well, or your extended family and cousins. You might be familiar with the regular menu at Disney World’s various food spots, but we’ll let you foodies in on a little Disney secret:

There are secret items to try as well. Maybe you heard of the secret, legendary nachos at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn that stand sky-high with endless toppings — though the spot no longer offers them. Don’t worry; we still have lots of secret menu options to share for your trip.

How do we know Walt Disney World’s menu hacks? Here at Element Vacation Homes, we manage 18 kid-friendly, themed mansions that have hosted plenty of families like yourself visiting Disney World.

Let’s break down some secret items on the amusement park’s menu so you can discover something new this trip!

1. Dole Whip

  • Type: Ice Cream
  • Location: Magic Kingdom, Aloha Aisle

Any suckers for soft-serve ice cream? Then Dole Whip is a must-try at Disney World. It’s your traditional soft serve in a couple of flavors, including vanilla and pineapple. The vendor is Dole, who you may know for its massive fruit production operations in Hawaii. The taste is sweet, refreshing, and oh-so-smooth.

You can find Dole Whip at the Aloha Isle within the Magic Kingdom. However, adults might rejoice that the amusement park also offers an alcohol-infused version at other locations within Disney World.

2. Pao de Queijo

Brazilian cheese bread is a savory, soft bread made with tapioca flour and cheese. And you can order it outside of the regular menu options at the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen at the Magical Kingdom.

They serve it with herbaceous, indulgent chimichurri cream cheese that compliments the savory bread perfectly.

But Brazilian Cheese Bread might not be enough to fill you up. Enjoy them as an appetizer, but indulge in some of the canteen’s other entree options, like Hardy Har Char Siu Pork or Baa Baa Lamb Chops — absolutely delicious.

3. Virgin Colada

  • Type: Slushie/Milkshake/Cocktail
  • Location: La Cava Del Tequila; Mexico Pavilion, EPCOT Food and Wine

Who says you can’t enjoy a cocktail with the kiddos? Your Pinas Coladas are a must-drink (and fair game!) as long as you keep the kids included with a virgin version like the one La Cava offers!

This delectable, refreshing blend of coconuts and pineapple juice has zero alcohol in it, making it a great way for your kids to quench their thirst on a hot day at Disney World. Of course, we have to point out that this particular restaurant features over 200 different types of tequila. We know; dangerous!

And while you’re still in the Mexico Pavilion, don’t forget to grab some tacos at the San Angel Inn Restaurante — it’s actually a sister restaurant to the original in Mexico City, so you know it’s authentic.

4. Secret Cookies

A long-standing Disney spot for sweets, Gideon’s Bakehouse features a cornucopia of sweets for patrons to enjoy. Our personal favorite? The peanut butter cold brew for a delectable buzz. And you can’t go wrong with the classic chocolate chip.

As for secret menu items? You can enjoy one every month, as this Disney Springs spot releases a new flavor monthly. They’ve recently released a brand new product for Halloween — the Banoffee Coffin, which resembles an apple turnover but is filled with Dulce de Leche.

Check the bakehouse’s Instagram for the latest on new flavors, and try your best to arrive early. The later you go, the more likely there will be a line.

5. Ohana Bread Pudding

  • Type: Desert
  • Location: Kona Cafe; Disney Polynesian Resort

Plant-based foodies, to the front! This secret dessert at the Kona Cafe is (obviously) not advertised on the menu; however, a quick chat and request from a cast member will get you this famous dessert. Regular bread pudding usually pairs stale bread with custard and sometimes cinnamon and raisins.

But the Kona Cafe levels up this bread pudding recipe with pineapple infused in the bread, banana pudding, and delectable caramel. It’s soft, fluffy, and rich all at once and a must-try for anyone who loves dessert.

6. Tyrannosaurus Wreck & Other Boozy Drinks

We know; you brought the kids with you. But you can sneak a cheeky drink here and there, can’t you? Take a quick trip to Restaurantosaurus Lounge and ask them for the secret menu — just remember they might check if you’re a pass holder. You’ll see four drinks that aren’t otherwise listed on the regular menu:

  • Tyrannosaurus Wreck: A boozy mix of Tito’s, gin, and Diplomático rum with a grape flavor
  • Fossil Fuel: Vodka and Lime Juice, along with a little sweet and sour
  • Pterodactyl Punch: A blue-colored, tangy mix of blue curacao, spiced rum, and sour mix

And for the kiddos? You’ll find a non-alcoholic feature on the secret menu, too, known as the Triceraberry Pop. It’s a fruity mix of cranberry juice, lemon, Sprite, and a touch of wildberry syrup.

Note: This is what we drank at Restaurantosaurus Lounge recently, but they may change the drinks every so often!

7. Loaded Galaxy Fries

You might have to place a mobile order to see this menu item at Cosmic Ray’s. Keep scrolling until you hit the Galaxy Fries and take a pause. These are not a french-fry dish to miss out on.

What makes them stand out? Take your pick. Maybe you’ll love the delicious blend of ranch and cheese sauce, the bacon bits, or even the generous pour of Flamin’ Hot Cheese Dust! If you want to indulge on your Disney World vacation, this is the secret menu item for you!
